This week | FREE CONCERT! The SDEMS and Cuyamaca College Performing Arts Department are thrilled to welcome the First United Methodist Church Chamber Choir and Orchestra to the Cuyamaca College campus for a free concert! Under the direction of FUMC Director of Choral Activities Brian Lustig, with FUMC Director of Music Ministries and Organist Jaebon Hwang, the group will present sacred music by Bach and Purcell.
WHEN/WHERE: Thursday, Feb 1, at 7:30PM, Samuel M. Ciccati Performing Arts Theater inside Cuyamaca College.
We are grateful for the interest and support the SDEMS outreach program has received. We want to thank all the artists and personnel involved in this project. Special thanks to Prof. Sepulvado and Derek Bertram at Cuyamaca College for their amazing work and generosity.
This outreach concert is presented in collaboration with the Cuyamaca College Performing Arts Department. Financial support is provided by the City of San Diego through the Commission for Arts and Culture.

TOMORROW! San Diego's own TAKAE OHNISHI will close the Solo Series with a French program for solo keyboard. Works by Duphly, L. Couperin, Royer, and others.
Takae has performed extensively as a soloist, chamber musician, and continuo player in major cities in Japan and in the US. She leads the harpsichord and Baroque ensemble at the University of California, San Diego. This is a wonderful chance to see her in concert in San Diego. Come on out! Saturday, Jan 27, 7:30PM, Great Hall, St. Paul's Cathedral, 2728 Sixth Ave, San Diego, CA 92103. Tickets: $25 general admission.

- Brian Lustig leads the FUMC Chamber Choir and Orchestra in a program of cantatas and sacred works by Bach and Purcell. Cuyamaca College, Thursday, Feb. 1st, at 7:30pm
- Musick for a While (vocal ensemble) will sing madrigals about love at the Encinitas Public Library, Wednesday, Feb. 14th, 2024, at noon.
- Eric Dickerson & Friends (instrumental ensemble) will perform a program of Baroque music for lute, mandolino, and ensemble at the Rancho Bernardo Library on Friday, Feb. 27th, 2024, 6:00-7:15pm.
- SD Early Music Singalong! Sing your favorite Renaissance and Baroque tunes under the direction of choral music veteran Dan Ratelle. All singers welcome! No experience required, music provided. First United Methodist Church, Sunday, Apr. 7th, 2024, at 7pm.
- Musick for a While (vocal ensemble) will sing popular madrigals at the Athenaeum Music Library on Monday, Apr. 8th at noon.
- SD Early Music Showcase! Our free annual event returns to St. Paul's Cathedral on Sunday, June 2, 2024.
