Kathlyn Robbins grew up playing violin and piano, and studied harpsichord for several years as a music minor at UC Riverside. She received her doctoral degree in Zoology from Cambridge University in the UK. After a long career as a research scientist with the National Institutes of Health in Maryland, Kathlyn returned to Southern California to retire near family. She happily became involved with playing in local symphonies and chamber groups, and rediscovered her love of baroque music with the Kensington Baroque Orchestra. She continues to play violin and viola with that orchestra in addition to hosting smaller baroque chamber groups at her home.
