In a highly anticipated return to San Diego, Le Poème Harmonique with mezzo-soprano Eva Zaïcik will open the season on October 23 with music heard at the young Louis XIV’s court before Versailles, from popular songs and salon music by Marin Marais and Étienne Moulinié to excerpts from the very first operas heard in France by Lully and Cavalli.
