We are thrilled to welcome back Belgium-based ensemble Vox Luminis, under the direction of Lionel Meunier, after their sensational San Diego debut in 2019. The ensemble will present a program of four early Bach cantatas: Actus tragicus (BWV 106), Aus der Tiefen rufe ich, Herr, zu dir (BWV 131), Ach Nach dir, Herr, verlanget mich (BWV 150), and Weinen, Klagen, Sorgen, Zagen (BWV 12). Specializing in German, Italian, and English repertoire from the seventeenth and early eighteenth centuries, the group is widely known for their exquisite and rigorous approach to this repertoire.
